Born From Above

John 3: 1-3 There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.”

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

By our first birth, which was a natural birth, we were born corrupt, shapened in sin, and denied fellowship with the Father. So, God in His wisdom provided a way for us to be born again. Birth is the beginning of life, so to be born again signifies the emergence of a new life. We have been given a new nature, and now we must choose to live our life daily by new principles. This birth is from Heaven, and its tendency is towards Heaven. It is a great change made in the heart of a man by the Holy Spirit. Let’s choose today, to live from that which is anew, living the high life, and letting go of the low life.
