Be Not Faithless, But Believing

Mark 16:14

Later as they were eating, Jesus appeared to the eleven and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

The Word of God tells us that the hardhearted person is a person who refuses to believe the Word of God. These eleven disciples refused to believe because they had not seen with their own eyes. But Jesus tells us, just like He told Thomas, "be not faithless, but believing."

We must believe with our hearts and to do that, we must act like God's Word is so. So how do you know if you are believing with your heart? When you find yourself in a stressful situation or when things "get hot in the kitchen", what you truly believe will be revealed.

When you get a negative report from the doctor

When you experience rejection and disappointment

When your spouse asks for a divorce

When you receive that pink slip

When death takes a loved one

When the pressure hits, what will you believe? The Word in your spirit must be activated in faith. As believers, we are to believe. We are to act like the Word is true. We can't just hear the Word but we must do the Word. God gives us His Word, but it is our responsiblity to believe His

Word, and we must believe it with our hearts. Proverbs 3:5 tells us to trust Him will all our heart and to not lean on our own understanding.

We must spend time with God, get to know Him. Have a personal relationship with Him. When we read His Word it must come alive in us, we must receive it as He has written it just to us. It's His directions to us to live the life He created for us to live. It's a manual. When you want to know the purpose and function of a thing, you read the manual, and we trust the manufacturer. Same with us, we must trust our manufacturer. God created us. He knows what makes a tick. He knows how we operate.

So life is coming at you in fifteen different directions, do not consider what you see, instead, choose to believe the Word. See yourself overcoming it all on the canvas of your imagination. How do you do that? You must form an image of yourself walking in God's best, experiencing His blessings, and allow that inner image to grow to the point where it is more real to you than what you see in the natural and believe it. BELIEVE WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST because all things are possibe to you as believer.
