What Are You Doing?

Today’s devotion comes from John 2: 1-5: On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Now, in that last statement is the key to living a supernatural life, “do whatever He tells you”. We all must begin to ask ourselves a serious question: Are we doing what we want to do, or are we doing what Jesus has instructed us to do? Even though the lack of wine was not Jesus’ concern, it was His mothers’. So, based on His relationship with her, her problem was now His problem and was willingly addressed by Him, but it had to be solved His way. As far as Mary was concerned the problem was solved because she gave it to Jesus, so she went about doing whatever she had to do next, if Jesus needed for her to do something then He knew how to contact her. Now, that’s faith!!!! Are you really in faith, or are you still concerned?
