Do Not Be Contained by Fear

There is a difference between being cautious and being contained.

Fear doesn’t always shout. Sometimes it whispers:

  • “Wait a little longer.”

  • “You’re not ready.”

  • “What if it doesn’t work?”

  • “What will they think?”

But the Lord says, “Do not allow fear to hinder and contain you in this season.”

This is not the time to shrink.

This is not the time to retreat.

This is the time to move.

1. Where He Leads, He Has Already Been

God will never send you somewhere He hasn’t already prepared.

  • Before Joshua stepped into the Promised Land, the Lord said: “The Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” ~Deuteronomy 31:6

  • Before Moses stood before Pharaoh, God had already planned the deliverance.

  • Before David faced Goliath, God had already anointed him king.

Where He is leading you right now: that conversation, that responsibility, that new level, that obedience; He has already walked the ground ahead of you. 🙌🏻

You are not stepping into the unknown alone. You are stepping into prepared territory!!

2. You Have Been Prepared More Than You Realize

Fear says, “You’re not qualified.”

But God says, “You’ve been shaped.” "I have prepared you."

  • The battles you’ve fought.

  • The disappointments you’ve endured.

  • The prayers you’ve prayed.

  • The obedience no one saw.

All of it was preparation. ✨

Just think about it: David didn’t learn about courage in front of Goliath, no, he learned about courage in the pasture when he had to handle the lion and bear.

Can I just tell you, what feels like random seasons were actually divine training grounds. GLORAYYYYY 🙌🏻🙌🏻

You are not underprepared.

You are becoming revealed.

3. Grace and Power You’ve Never Experienced

I truly believe that as we follow Father God, we will know unprecedented levels of His grace and power in us, for us and through us.

When we move past fear and follow Him:

  • Grace empowers what we couldn’t do alone.

  • Power flows in places we once felt weak.

  • Confidence rises, not because we are strong, but because He is.

2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

When you allow His strength to be made perfect in your weakness, you will look back and say, “That wasn’t me. That was God.” 🙌🏻🙌🏻

4. Awe and Wonder Are on the Other Side of Obedience

“…that is going to leave you in awe and wonder of who I am.”

Fear keeps you safe.

Obedience lets you see miracles. 👏🏼👏🏼

Peter would of never walked on water by staying in the boat.

The Red Sea would of never parted if the Israelites would have refused to move forward.

Nehemiah would have never rebuilt the wall by listening to the voices telling him to come down.

Awe lives on the other side of movement.

This hour is not about comfort. It’s about revelation!

You are about to know God in a way you never have before!

As it is written in 1 Corinthians 2:9: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready!

Think About It:

  • Where has fear been quietly containing me?

  • What step of obedience have I been delaying?

  • What would I attempt if I fully trusted that God has gone before me?

Pray With Me:

Father, I refuse to let fear contain me in this season. Where You lead, I will follow. Remind me that You have gone before me, that You have prepared me, and that You have prepared the way. Let Your grace empower me and Your power flow in me, for me, and through me. Take me into places that leave me in awe of who You are. You are an amazing God and I love you forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
