Scripture Focus: Psalm 27:13–14

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

There are moments in life that feel like they knock the wind out of you. Calamity. Loss. Disappointment. The kind of seasons that try to convince you that what was taken can never be restored.

But in my study time, God reminded me of something steady and unshakable:

✨Even in calamity and loss, He is still God and He is the Restorer of all things.

Praise God 🙌🏻🙌🏻

When it seems as though life is falling apart, God does not step off the throne. He does not lose control when we lose something precious. He does not panic when the enemy plots. In fact, Scripture reassures us that what the enemy intends for evil, God has the power to turn for good.

That doesn’t mean the pain isn’t real. It doesn’t mean the loss doesn’t hurt. It means the story isn’t over!!

I Would Have Lost Heart…

David didn’t deny hardship. He acknowledged that without belief, he would have lost heart. The battle wasn’t just external, it was internal. The fight was to keep believing that goodness was still ahead.

“I would have lost heart… unless I had believed.”

Belief is what keeps your heart alive in the waiting. There are seasons when you don’t yet see the restoration. You don’t see the turnaround. You don’t see the redemption. But you choose to believe you will see the goodness of the Lord; not just in eternity, but in the land of the living. Right here. In this life.

The Power of Waiting

“Wait on the LORD.”

Waiting is not passive. It’s not giving up. It’s not sitting in despair. Waiting on the Lord is active trust. It’s positioning your heart in expectation. David repeats it: “Wait, I say, on the LORD!”

Why? Because waiting requires courage. When everything around you feels unstable, courage looks like continuing to trust God’s character. Courage looks like declaring that He is still good even when circumstances are not. And here’s the promise:“He shall strengthen your heart.”

Not just change your situation; but He will strengthen your heart. 😭

✨Sometimes restoration begins inside before it ever shows up outside.

He Turns It for Good

The enemy may have meant it to break you.God will use it to build you.

The enemy may have meant it to silence you.God will use it to deepen your voice.

The enemy may have meant it to destroy your faith.God will use it to refine it.

He is the Restorer. Not just of things—but of hope, joy, vision, strength, and purpose.

What feels like an ending may actually be a divine repositioning.

Believe It. Receive It. Declare It.

There is power in agreement with God.

  • Believe that you will see His goodness.

  • Receive the strength He promises in the waiting.

  • Declare that He is still God over your life.

You may be in a season where it feels like you are holding on by a thread. But if you can hold onto belief, you will not lose heart. You will see the goodness of the Lord.

Wait on Him. Be of good courage. Let Him strengthen your heart.

He is still God - even here🙌🏻🙌🏻
